For top-class Moroccan tile texture, enamel glazing with hands is applied on the front portion of the Moroccan tiles. They are ceramic tiles that have been fired and glazed, a labour-intensive process. Unlike factory-made tiles, each Moroccan tile is unique and unidentifiable because it is hand-moulded, hand-cut, and hand-glazed.

  1. Soapy Water: A simple and effective way to clean your kitchen wall tiles is by using a mixture of warm water and dish soap. Use a sponge or cloth to wipe the tiles down, and then rinse with clean water.
  2. Vinegar Solution: If you’re dealing with stubborn stains, mix equal parts water and white vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray the solution onto the tiles and let it sit for a few minutes before wiping it off.
  3. Baking Soda Scrub: Baking soda is another handy tool to have in your cleaning arsenal. Mix baking soda and water to create a paste, and use a scrub brush to apply it to your tiles. Let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off.
  4. Steam Cleaner: For a more heavy-duty clean, consider using a steam cleaner. These machines use hot steam to blast away grime and dirt, leaving your tiles sparkling clean.
  5. Regular Maintenance: To keep your kitchen wall tiles looking their best, it’s important to maintain them regularly. Wipe them down with a damp cloth after cooking, and address any spills or stains right away. With a little effort, your tiles will stay clean and beautiful for years to come.

In addition, the kitchen floor tile ideas are limitless. Coloured porcelain tiles give your kitchen design ideas a unique flair, while natural stone’s timeless appeal lends a touch of luxury or rustic charm, depending on your preference.
We’ve gathered tips from industry insiders and some of the latest kitchen floor tiles designs with pictures of 2022 to help you choose the perfect tile for the heart of your home.

On-trend terrazzo kitchen room floor tiles design adds colour to otherwise basic kitchen cabinets. In addition, an open-plan kitchen-diner will have a more seamless appearance with matching floor and wall tiles.

To get a colourful fragmented appearance, marble, granite, quartz, or glass shards are mixed with a resin binder to form terrazzo, a composite material. Terrazzo tiles are an excellent option for kitchens and bathrooms since they are very hard-wearing and simple to clean.

Use terrazzo floor tiles with colour dots that match your kitchen cabinets, worktops, or backsplash for a colourful, coordinated design.

Although it’s difficult to beat a natural wood floor for kitchen floor tile ideas, there are some drawbacks. Natural wood may warp and bend if exposed to water, making it unsuitable for kitchens or utility rooms.

In the good news, you can have all the benefits of a natural wood floor without drawbacks with several persuasive alternatives. Colour and texture options for wood-effect tiles vary from light blonde Scandi designs to dark, cosy woods.

(Source-i.pinimg.com) Checkerboard-style floor kitchens look excellent in an all-white or neutral-toned kitchen

Monochromatic Checkerboard floor vinyl tiles in black and white provide a vintage air to this room’s decor, making it seem more antiquated. An all-white kitchen with black-and-white equipment complements the traditional neutral aesthetic created by the black-and-white tile floor. This combination is quite popular. Clean, bright, and pristine, it brightens up the kitchen.

5. Checkerboard Part Two – The tiles that are misaligned

(Credits: House Beautiful)

This ultra-sleek, industrial-style kitchen is deserving of nothing less than a beautiful, eye-catching backsplash. This modern take on a checkerboard is one of our favourites, thanks to the slightly misplaced, out-of-the-sync tiles that prevent it from looking overly polished. Does this give you a 3D floor vibe? For me, it does!

6. Tile for the kitchen floor in a neutral colour

You may discover that it is more costly than other tile options, but many believe that the additional expense is well worth it.

With its varied and intriguing design, this one-of-a-kind kitchen does not go too far from the essential simplicity of the kitchen’s overarching aim. As a result, the brightly coloured tiles counterbalance the more neutral tones of the walls and wood floors. In addition, the patchwork of antique patterned kitchen vinyl floor tiles designs creates the illusion of depth and dimension.

9. Kitchen floor tiles in yellow and beige with a cheese accent

(Source-i.pinimg.com) If full yellow seems too bright, then opt for checkerboard flooring in yellow and white

This bright yellow chess tile floor is very unexpected. Using this kind of flooring in a family-friendly environment, a vintage design or an eclectic vision is appropriate. If you believe yellow is too bright but still enjoy the design, try using a more neutral tile colour such as white or grey to compliment the yellow. You will quickly discover that this room will soon become one of your favourite spaces in your house. This is also a perfect option for white kitchen floor tiles.

11. Turn up the heat using high-quality vinyl

(Source-i.pinimg.com) Natural slate floor tiles design for the kitchen gives off a rustic-chic edge to an otherwise contemporary kitchen

Natural slate is an excellent choice for a contemporary, rustic kitchen since it is dark and dramatic. On the other hand, the natural slate may be abrasive and chilly to the touch, making it unsuitable for use with delicate items like china and glass.

Realistic slate-effect patterns are available in LVT flooring (luxury vinyl tile) that are warm and less abrasive to the touch. High-end LVT flooring is also available in tile and plank forms, creating a realistic arrangement that appears very accurate and similar to the actual thing as much as possible.

It’s vital to consider the age of the structure, the atmosphere you’re going for, and the size of the area you’re decorating when picking a colour for your house. Sizing matters a lot when it comes to choosing a laying pattern. If the space and the design are of equal size, the result will be the same. For example, a basketweave pattern would work well in a small kitchen, while a flagstone pattern would work well in a large one.

FAQs

Q-1 What is the best floor for a kitchen in terms of durability?

A-1 A kitchen floor made of ceramic tile, hardwood, bamboo, or natural stone is the most long-lasting. These floorings have their advantages and disadvantages, but with appropriate maintenance and safety considerations, they may all survive for many years.

Q-2 Is it possible to colour kitchen floor tiles?

A-2 Floor tiles may be painted. There are better ways to renovate your home, but this won’t last. In the long run, the paint won’t be able to stand up to the rigours of daily use. It would help if you used semi-gloss or gloss paint instead of flat paint to get the most excellent results. Oil-based paints are more durable than latex paints.

Q-3 Are pastels a good option for kitchen flooring?

A-3 Sure. Pastel-inspired flooring and furnishing look great in a contemporary kitchen. However, balance out the pastel with some whites or neutrals.

Q4 What are some unconventional kitchen flooring options?

A4- Depends on how far you are willing to experiment. You can play it safe by opting for slate finish tiles for a rustic vibe. Else try Spanish or Italian inspired ceramic/mosaic patterned tiles in bolder colours for creating a statement.

Q5 Is vinyl flooring a good option for kitchens?

A5- Vinyl flooring is one of the best options for an underfoot warm and cosy feel. It’s a terrific option for kitchens where tiny ones are often barefoot since it’s durable, easy to clean, and low-maintenance.

How strong should the tiles for porch walls be?

When it comes to selecting wall tiles for the exterior of your home, it’s important to consider the strength and durability of the tiles. Outdoor wall tiles must be able to withstand various weather conditions such as rain, wind, and extreme temperatures, and should also be strong enough to resist damage from impact and wear and tear.

The first consideration when determining the strength of tiles for the porch wall is the material. Ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone are popular choices for exterior wall tiles. Ceramic tiles are durable and resistant to water and moisture, making them ideal for outdoor use. Porcelain tiles are stronger and more durable than ceramic tiles, and they are also resistant to water, stains, and scratches. Natural stone tiles, such as granite or slate, are also popular for outdoor use, and offer both strength and aesthetic appeal.

Another factor to consider when determining the strength of tiles for the porch wall is the thickness of the tiles. Thicker tiles are generally stronger and more durable than thinner tiles, and are less likely to crack or break under stress. In addition to thickness, the quality of the tiles is also important. Higher quality tiles will have a lower risk of breakage, and will be able to withstand more wear and tear over time.

It’s also important to consider the installation process when selecting tiles for the porch wall. Proper installation is essential to ensuring the strength and durability of the tiles. The tiles should be installed on a solid, level surface that is free from cracks and other defects. The grout used to fill the gaps between the tiles should also be of high quality and should be applied evenly and firmly. Finally, the tiles should be sealed to protect against water damage and staining.

In addition to strength and durability, the style and design of the tiles is also an important consideration when selecting tiles for the porch wall. The tiles should complement the overall style of the home, and should be available in a range of colours and patterns to suit different tastes and preferences. Some popular design options for outdoor wall tiles include mosaic patterns, natural stone textures, and geometric shapes.

When selecting tiles for the porch wall, it’s also important to consider the maintenance requirements. Outdoor wall tiles will require regular cleaning to keep them looking their best, and some materials may require more maintenance than others. For example, natural stone tiles may require periodic sealing to protect against water damage and staining.

Finally, it’s important to work with a reputable supplier and installer when selecting and installing outdoor wall tiles. A professional supplier will be able to offer expert advice on the best materials and styles for your home, and will be able to provide high-quality products and installation services. With the right tiles and installation, your porch wall can be both stylish and strong, adding both aesthetic appeal and value to your home.

  4. Consider your shower space, i.e., select tiles that are slip-resistant, moisture-resistant, and frost-resistant.

Why Should You Prefer Tiles Instead of Paint or Wallpapers for Your Bedroom Walls?

Planning for a renovation is almost like half the work done. Once you have decided everything that needs to be upgraded, you can quickly begin with the next step. Walls occupy the largest surface area in any room and hold the capacity to turn around its look completely. While commonly people go for paint or wallpapers, there is another option of tiles. Tiles are usually found in our kitchens or bathroom walls but are incredibly beneficial for other rooms as well. Here are some of the benefits of installing tiles on your bedroom walls:

Easy Cleaning Procedure

Once you get the walls painted or wallpapered, fewer options are left to clean them properly regularly. As a result, you start seeing scuff marks, fingerprints and dust stains after some time. But with tiles, you can easily wipe the area to clean it without worrying about any long-lasting damages.

More Durable

When was the last time you had your kitchen or bathroom tiles changed? Probably not since their installation. But since then, you have indeed repainted or changed wallpapers in your room. Again, it is because tiles are efficient and more durable in the longer run.

Plenty of Options

If you are worried about the range of designs and colours, tiles will surely surprise you. With numerous types, sizes and patterns, you can choose the one that suits your room best. For example, if you are not interested in the classic square shape, go for different geometrical patterns or large plank tiles.

No Seepage Issues

Every monsoon, we notice a slow deterioration of wall paint. With the constant moisture, the colour can start coming off and make your room look more unpleasant. But tiles are usually waterproof and safe for all seasons.

A bedroom is your sanctuary in the home. It is where you spend some of the most relaxing hours in self-introspection or trying to unwind from a stressful day at work. While most of us might not afford the bedroom of our dreams, we can indeed ensure that we are making the best of what’s available to us. A renovation will help change the outlook of the place and bring forth multiple new benefits as well. If you are looking for safe and sturdy options for your bedroom walls, installing tiles is one idea that you should look into. The above-mentioned bedroom wall tiles designs are some of the latest opportunities. Looking for the most experienced professionals at the lowest quote? FAQ’s

Question 1: What types of tiles are commonly available in Indian markets?

Answer: There are a variety of tile types available. Depending on their features and usage, the functionality and cost of each tile kind vary. Some of the most common tiles seen around us are either ceramic or porcelain. Apart from that, glass tiles, cement tiles, stone tiles and metal tiles are also available. Based on geographical regions or the house structure, you can select the best possible wall tiles for bedroom design.

Question 2: Are ceramic tiles suitable for walls?

Answer: Made with raw materials like sand, clay and glass, ceramic tiles are eco-friendly. They help keep the house cooler in the summer season and add a layer of insulation for the winter season. For maintenance, you need a regular cleaning or optional sealing. Therefore, ceramic tiles are highly beneficial to your walls. There are multiple ceramic wall tiles for bedrooms available in markets.

Question 3: What are some of the pros and cons of porcelain bedroom wall tiles design?

Answer: Made with various types of clay, feldspar and sand, porcelain tiles offer the following pros and cons.
Pros:
1. With fewer air packets and a denser structure, porcelain tiles are more resistant to wear and tear than ceramic ones.
2. You don’t need to do sealing to prevent water from seeping in. They are not 100% water resistant but still sturdy enough to last long.
3. Porcelain tiles can be replicated to look like marble, granite, limestone, hardwood or slate. This means you are more likely to find the desired wall tiles in bedroom design in the porcelain range.
Cons:
1. Porcelain tiles are hard to cut through and, therefore, challenging to install. It would help if you only relied on well-experienced professionals to handle porcelain tiles.
2. Porcelain tiles are costlier than ceramic ones. Even the installation is more expensive.
3. They are heavier than usual tiles and more difficult to repair.

Question 4: What are standard tile sizes available in markets?

Answer: Tiles come in multiple sizes and shapes. The most commonly used wall tile dimensions are:
250mm X 300mm
300mm X 450mm
300mm X 600mm

Question 5: How to select a tile pattern for your bedroom?

Answer: Remember, a bedroom is where you look for some much-needed comfort and calm. Based on what suits your mind best, select colours and patterns that can help you relax. Avoid bright, shiny colours and go for lighter pastel shades that will make your bedroom seem more spacious.

Bathroom Floor Tiles Design: Your 2024 Guide to Choices & Trends

Home renovation is a task of utmost importance that requires your practical and creative decision-making skills. While you might go for aesthetically pleasing and elegant options for your living room or dining area, a bathroom needs more efficiency and suitability. Primarily, our brain imagines a large, all-white bathroom floor with a big tub on the side. But getting back to reality, that dream seems a bit out of reach with the lack of space and durability. Therefore, it is important to focus on a bathroom renovation. It utilises all the space available in the best possible way and does not leave you bankrupt in the process. One key aspect of the bathroom renovation is floor tiles. Floor tiles set the entire mood of the space and they are available in multiple types, colours and patterns. You can now choose the best bathroom floor tiles design based on your personal choice, budget and trends of 2024.

FAQ’s

Q1. Why are wooden tiles a better option than the actual hardwood flooring?

Ans. Wooden tiles are much more affordable as compared to hardwood flooring. Also, hardwood is not suitable for high-traffic houses. If you have kids or pets roaming around the house, the wood flooring will likely experience substantial wear and tear over time. You might also end up dropping or spilling something on the hardwood. But with wooden tiles, all these issues are rendered ineffective, and you can enjoy the same appearance with less maintenance.

Q2. What is the popular tile size available?

Ans. The classic 12″ x 12″ tile dimensions are no doubt still popular. But, you also have multiple other options like 16″ x 16″, 12″ x 24″ or 24″ x 48″. Large tiles tend to be installed easily and make the room look more spacious. However, when it comes to thickness, people prefer the thinnest possible options.

Q3. What are some of the benefits of porcelain tiles?

Ans. Porcelain tiles are gaining popularity due to multiple advantages over traditional flooring options. Porcelain tiles are moisture-resistant and durable. These tiles are also eco-friendly and cost a little more than ceramic ones.

Q4. How are ceramic tiles different from porcelain tiles?

Ans. Ceramic tiles absorb more water than porcelain tiles. Also, you can easily cut ceramic tiles to fit the desired shape, while porcelain tiles are harder to cut.

Q5. Which tile colours will suit the bedroom best?

Ans. It is hard to generalise one colour as fitting for the bedroom. It would help if you designed the bedroom according to the individual’s needs and preferences. If you like darker tiles for the bedroom, you might like black or dark brown shaded wooden tiles. If you are more into pastel shades, go for white or marble tiles. In the end, it is all dependent on your personal opinion.
