Change in Ownership of Electricity Connection (COEC) through Jhatpat Connection Portal

Consumers no longer need to submit an affidavit when requesting to transfer their power connection to another person, according to UP Power Corporation Ltd. Now, people requesting a change in ownership or a transfer of power connection could provide the necessary information on a plain piece of paper rather than one that required 10 stamps.

According to the guidelines, “A power connection shall be transferred in the name of another person following the consumer’s death or, in the case of a transfer of ownership or occupancy of the premises, upon the consumer’s application.”
