Soak More, Scrub Less
When you are tackling extra tough grease in the kitchen or a nasty stain on your clothes, don’t waste your time on scrubbing. The best thing to do is use a product on the spot and let it soak for a long time. The longer that the product is allowed to soak in, the less scrubbing is required and the easier it is to get the item clean. As a practice, you can put the dishes to soak, leave grease remover on the stove/oven, soak the toilet bowls in the bathroom with the cleaner; then start dusting. By the time you get back to the kitchen or bathroom, the product would have done half the work for you.
First Dry Clean, Then Wet Clean
It may seem tempting to just wash down things, but in order to get the best results, you need to first clean it when it is dry and then use water/cleaning liquids to clean it thoroughly. This way you are not taking the dirt and spreading it onto cleaner surfaces. A perfect example would be the bathroom. Here, you clean the tiles on the walls, then the floors and last the commode.
Sweep/vacuum In and Out of Rooms
When you’re sweeping and or vacuuming, ensure to do so while entering and exiting the room. This way, the passages that connect your room will get extra attention. It is normally these high traffic areas that collect the most dirt and experience the most footfall.
