Pune Property Tax: Tips to Remember
- Pune Municipal Corporation is responsible for all homes, businesses, and other structures, as well as for vacant areas. The method used to determine a tax on any property is a capital-based valuation system.
- The revenue department’s ready reckoner, which is used to determine stamp duty, is used to determine the property tax, which is based on a percentage of the property’s actual value.
- You have until May 31 to make your first half-year (April to September) property tax payment. To avoid penalties, the second half (October to December) must be paid in full by December 31. In the event that the payment of property taxes is postponed, a penalty of 2% is assessed monthly starting on July 1 for the first half-year and January 1 for the second half-year.
- Additionally, there are tax rebates available if you pay your property tax by the due dates.
