Phase 1 of Line 1, an elevated line of 11.10 km from CBD Belapur to Pendhar, was opened to the public the next day.

Details of Different Lines of Navi Mumbai Metro

  • Line 1 runs from Belapur to Pendhar. It is 11.1 kilometres long and has 11 Navi Mumbai Metro stations. The Navi Mumbai Metro opening date was November 17, 2023.
  • Line 2 will extend from Talopja MIDC to Khandeshwar. It will be 7.2 kilometres long and have six stations. This line is planned.
  • Line 3 will connect Pendhar to MIDC Taloja. It will be 3.87 kilometres long and have three stations. This line is planned.
  • Line 4 will link Khandeshwar to the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA). It will be 4.17 kilometres long with elevated and underground sections. This line is planned.

CIDCO has introduced a new timetable starting from January 2025, with the metro running every 10 minutes. Metro will start operating at 6:00 am from Belapur and Pendhar stations. The last trains depart Belapur at 10 PM and Pendhar at 9:45 PM. 

In June 2025, CIDCO launched a QR ticketing system to make it more user-friendly for the Navi Mumbai Metro Line 1.
