2. Shore Vista Boat Dock
This stunning house was designed by Bercy Chen Studio and is located in Austin. The house was designed to get the best views of the river and hills without any obstructions. The most stunning feature of this boat house is the waterfall that flows from the upper floor.
3. Casa do Penedo
Translated this means House of the Rock, it was built in 1972 and can be found in between Celorico de Basto and Fafe, in northern Portugal. This was once used as a holiday home but now is a small museum. It’s made from four large boulders that serve as the foundation, walls and ceiling of the house.
4. The Nautilus House
Inspired by nature this house uses the natural curves of a conch shell to give it its unique look. This is designed by famed architect Javier Senosiain and is found near Mexico City. Most of Javier’s work is stunning and they are all based on nature, this one though is spectacular.

5. Rieteiland House
This marvellous house constructed using glass and aluminium and is designed by Hans van Heeswijk. It’s located in IJburg, Amsterdam and as you can guess, offers stunning views of the surrounding areas which include the ocean. The unique feature of this house (apart from the glass) is that it’s designed to reduce the property’s environmental footprint as much as possible.
