Let’s have a look at what precautionary measures companies have taken in light of the looming threat of coronavirus and the pressing need to manage the businesses. Corona virus is a real threat and if the present state of affairs continues for long, then a lot of businesses might suffer beyond repair. Many companies are working towards tech enabled solutions to continue the business running. NoBroker, a tech-enabled brokerage-free real estate platform that makes the real estate transactions seamless and efficient has given work from home even to their call centre employees. Companies that have call centre executives find it very difficult to have a solution for this because the software for the call centre can't be handled from home. However, with their tech strong team they have initiated this step. Akhil Gupta, Co-founder and CTO of Nobroker.com, says "We are using Slack heavily for tech teams for easy coordination and team calls. Every morning and evening we have team huddles at a fixed time, so everyone is updated on the progress of work. The weekly meeting between various teams has also switched to Slack. "We have a lot of call centre employees for whom we have enhanced our integrated contact centre solution to enable calls on employee phone instead of the computer. Even the incoming customer calls are patched to the personal mobile phones of the calling executives. Each one of our employees can work from home without any hassle. All they are required to have is a good internet connection." Couple of food delivery companies have started a 'desk ordering' feature to help consumers view a brief menu on their phone and select their choice of food. Some companies have even set up food dispensing machines so that employees have access to a range of ready-to-eat. The food is pre-loaded in food dispensers thereby enhancing food safety and reducing the chances of contamination. Millennial centric luxury hotels have stated that safety and hygiene as an utmost priority. The addition of a delivery option will allow them to serve the guests with scrumptious food. Most of these hotels have made the service applicable within a radius of 5 km. They are offering in-house delivery to ensure complete hygiene from their kitchen to consumers’ doorstep.
