Hibiscus
These flowering plants come in many forms- herbs, shrubs, and trees and belong to the mallow family (Malvaceae) in India you will find at least 70 varieties. They are native to warm temperate and tropical regions, which make them the perfect garden plant for summers. They stand out because of their large beautiful flowers and a wide array of health benefits. The leaves and flowers are used in many ways to treat things like an upset stomach, high blood pressure, bacterial infections, fevers and more. This is a plant that tends to grow a little wild, so give it space, moist soil and sunlight to grow well.

Roses
Roses are a perennial flowering plant, but the best time for them is summer. In order to flourish, they require sunny days, cool nights, and moderate humidity. The light and temperature play a role in their flowering and longer days help them bloom faster. There are many varieties of roses in India and there are also many colours you can grow in your garden, they also make beautiful hedges. Overall there are about 150 varieties of roses in the world but India has 15 that are perfect for our weather conditions. Again, roses serve many purposes, they look beautiful in your garden, you can cut them and display it at home, the petals are used for decoration, the flowers are used to make rose water, perfume and more.

Lilies
When it comes to beauty and fragrance after roses come lilies. These beautiful and delicate flowers can survive harsh conditions. To bloom, these plants require at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight every day. If they are kept in the shade, the stems will automatically lean towards the sun, this will damage them and cause them to fall over, hence keep them in the sun. They are low on maintenance and come in a variety of beautiful colours, just ensure the soil you grow them on is not too moist but is soil that drains well.

Zinnia
This is considered a flower that is a late summer bloomer and is great for even beginners to grow. They are easy to grow, require very little attention, have good tolerance to heat and are hardy. They need soil that drains well and at least 6 hours of sunlight in a day. They can survive in dry soil, but moisture in the soil helps them thrive. The best part of having a garden filled with Zinnias is that they smell wonderful and attract plenty of butterflies, a sight to behold during summers.
