I’ve been renting here in Tukaram Nagar for about 2 years. Honestly it’s a decent place if you’re working around Katraj or Dhankawdi side. lots of small shops and local markets nearby. For healthcare we usually go to shivprasad hospital, which is like 5-10 minutes away. The only real annoyance is traffic during peak hours near Ambegaon and the internal roads can feel narrow.
Tukaram nagar isn't fancy and spacious but livable for temporary purpose. The area is overal safe but what bothers me is parking. some lanes get messy with random roadside parking and it can be difficult to take the car out during busy hours.
it’s still quieter than central Pune areas like Kothrud or Swargate. Morning walks are nice and there are a couple of small shops nearby. But yes there's still more development needed. there has to be good public transport. the lack of metro is bothersome. and roads aren't great either
Roads are improving but some internal lanes still feel cramped. Overall though for a mid-budget rental area in Pune it’s quite okay
The area is close to many schools and hospitals, which means tenants are easy to find. Infrastructure is still catching up though, especially roads and water supply in some blocks. even connectivity is not completely developed
