It is located near Kandivali, Borivali, and Goregaon, with connectivity through SV Road, New Link Road, and Chincholi Bunder Road. The area is known for its residential environment and access to schools, hospitals, and malls such as Ramniwas Bajaj English High School, Lifeline Medicare Hospital, and Inorbit Mall within 2-5 km. Lower Malad Metro Station on Line 2A is about 850 m away, while Malad Railway Station is around 2 km away. This is a good neighborhood and gas access to various amenities. Appreciation here quite steady and parking shortages affect tenant satisfaction.
The metro connectivity is the biggest advantage of living in Sunder Nagar. Lower Malad Metro Station is very close, and travelling across Mumbai has become much easier. Shops, cafes, and supermarkets are all nearby, making daily life convenient.
The locality is quite comfortable. Inorbit Mall is a short drive away, and there are plenty of restaurants around New Link Road. The area is well-developed.
Sunder Nagar has a steady demand due to its location in Malad West. Malls like Inorbit Mall and Oberoi Mall, along with quality schools and hospitals, make it attractive for long-term investment.
Renting here is quite decent and the neighborhood is mostly quiet. The best part is that auto rickshaws are easily available right outside the lane to drop you to the station or the link road.
The internal lanes are nice and clean, and the overall vibe is very peaceful compared to the rest of Malad. Only downside is the water pressure which gets very low on the upper floors in the mornings.
It is a very safe and family-friendly pocket with good schools around. Kids can actually walk safely on the internal streets, but there are not enough big open parks inside the immediate area for them.
The evening bottleneck near the Sunder Nagar junction is a daily torture. It takes almost 20 minutes just to clear that small stretch in an auto because of haphazardly parked delivery vans and autos.
Living here for years, we get daily needs and grocery shops within walking distance. However, the open drains near the boundary walls are never cleaned properly by the civic staff, leading to a massive mosquito menace.
Walking inside the colony is pleasant because there is less heavy traffic. But the main footpaths outside are broken or taken over by local vendors, forcing us to walk on the busy road edges.
I visit friends here often and finding a parking spot for my car is a nightmare. People park their vehicles on both sides of the narrow lanes, leaving barely any space for another car to pass.
Rental market is very stable here because families prefer this quiet residential pocket over busier parts of Malad West. The buildings are a bit old, but the location keeps the property demand solid.
The area is nice and peaceful for studying, and there are good local messes nearby. But the closest metro station or railway station is a bit far to walk daily, so expense on shared autos adds up.
The lanes get heavily waterlogged even during normal monsoon showers because the internal stormwater drains are completely choked with plastic waste. It completely cuts off foot traffic to our shops for hours.
