Lots of new societies mean great chances to build community. I’ve met great neighbors here. But grocery options are fewer compared to areas like Baner.
It’s got that up-and-coming feel, perfect if you’re investing. That said, food delivery takes longer than usual, maybe due to poor pin-code mapping or fewer outlets nearby.
The area has this calm suburban energy, which is refreshing. You can actually hear birds in the morning. Only con? Fewer ATMs and banks around.
There’s a nice balance of space and affordability here. Homes come with more carpet area than central Pune. But food joints and restaurants are still just okay.
Punawale is a budget friendly area with many new apartments. There are lots of good restaurants and cafes here. There's also the famous Punwale Kate Wasti Forest here which is a popular tourist attraction
Schools, hospitals and all essentials are reachable. But there's scarcity of good public transport options and the service road gets very jammed
Punawale feels isolated from many areas in Pune. it has its own social amenities but its also far from key IT hubs. And if you don't own a vehicle, commuting is tougher
I am renting near the Kate Wasti road and I feel it is cost effective. there is 18 latitude mall within walking distance and many restaurants.
In comparison to nearby areas, Punawale is doing much better in terms of social infrastructure. There is good potential for growth here. And entry cost is also decent. But avoid taking buildings close to older layouts
Moving stock to my shop near Punawale corner is okay during afternoons, but evenings are blocked with traffic. Double parking on the main road makes it worse. It is a busy area but parking management is desperately needed.
Good schools are all located within 2 to 3 kilometers which is a big relief. Streets are well lit at night so safety is not a worry. A few small parks are there for evening playtime, so it works out well.
Love coming down here on weekends. The area has some really nice cafe spots and open spaces. It feels much less crowded than core Pune city and driving around the internal roads is quite chill, TBH.
Potholes on the main Punawale road are getting worse by the day. Driving a car here is a nightmare, your vehicle suspension will go for a toss. The civic body is completely ignoring the road condition here.highly annoying.
Food options are decent here, lots of small messes and fast food joints around. But public transport is a big problem if you don't have a bike... buses are very less and you have to wait a lot at the stops.
Basic things are available nearby like supermarkets and doctors, so daily life is manageable. But garbage dumping on open plots is a huge issue here. The smell gets really bad in the evenings... needs to be cleared regularly.
Commuting from Punawale is a daily pain RN. The traffic jam near Hinjewadi IT park bridge is just terrible during morning rush hours. It takes me 40 minutes just to cross that patch by car. Autos also charge way too much.
Water supply is a total mess across the area, we get it only for 1 hour in the morning. Everything runs on private water tankers here. Roads also get flooded very easily even during normal rains. Fed up with this place.
The inner lanes near Kate Wasti are very quiet for morning walks. Streets are mostly clean and people are friendly. There is a good pharmacy and clinic just outside our lane, so medical needs are handled quickly without going far.
Living near the Jambe road side is quite sorted. Markets are close by and getting daily groceries is very easy. The area feels quite safe even if I walk back late from the main road. Only issue is the dust from all the trucks passing by.

New cafes and supermarkets are popping up! You can see the growth. But the dust from all the construction can be a real nuisance on most days.
