Garbage collection happens daily, but people still throw trash near open drain corners. Lanes are tight and crowded throughout the afternoon. It is a noisy area, but connectivity to North Delhi is genuinely good.
Morning walks in the quiet inner lanes before 9 AM are nice. Footpaths along Old Rohtak Road are mostly broken or occupied by shop stalls though, so walking late in the evening feels a bit unsafe due to heavy scooter traffic.
Driving a car into Padam Nagar is a huge mistake... double parking in narrow streets makes turning impossible. Better to take the metro and hire an e-rickshaw. Good local eateries though if you go on foot.
Rental demand stays high because of proximity to Sarai Rohilla station and metro routes. Flat prices are reasonable for North Delhi. Poor street parking and crowded lanes keep property appreciation a bit slow though.
PG rents here are super cheap and food joints in the nearby market are very light on the wallet. Metro access is quick, so reaching campus or city markets is zero hassle. Pretty decent setup for students TBH.
