Majnu Ka Tilla Timarpur Delhi is a locality situated in North Delhi, bordering Timarpur and Mukherjee Nagar. The pincode of Majnu Ka Tilla Timarpur Delhi, Delhi is 110054. It presents a vibrant, developing neighbourhood character, known for its unique Tibetan community influence and a growing residential appeal. Essential amenities include educational institutions like Delhi University North Campus nearby and healthcare facilities such as Aruna Asaf Ali Government Hospital. Connectivity is facilitated by the Vishwavidyalaya metro station on the Yellow Line, approximately 4km away, and its proximity to Grand Trunk Road. Travel to Connaught Place takes around 30-40 minutes by car. Property types include apartments and independent houses. In 2026, rental ranges are estimated between Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 20,000, while property prices stand between Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 12,000 per sq ft.
Vidhan Sabha metro station is quite close, so getting to central Delhi is fast. Renting here is cheap, but the water supply is a joke... it comes for only 45 minutes in the morning and is often muddy.
The inner lanes near the Tibetan market area are extremely tight. You cannot even bring a bike inside comfortably during peak hours because of the massive tourist rush and cafe crowds blocking the paths.
Travel is easy due to the ring road access, but the evening bottleneck near the main Majnu Ka Tilla footbridge is frustrating. Autos and cycle rickshaws block the entire left lane, creating a constant jam.
Staying here in a PG is amazing for DU students. The local cafes serve great food, the vibes are chill, and the shared e-rickshaws to North Campus cost only 10 or 15 rupees. Best budget spot TBH.
The riverside side is okay for a bit of air, but walking inside the colony is impossible. The lanes are dark, completely uneven, and local boys zip through on scooties without caring about anyone walking.
Tourist footfall is heavy throughout the week, which keeps our sales high. But the open garbage dumps near the main entry point are disgusting. The MCD guys rarely clear it on time, so it smells awful.
Schools around the Timarpur line are accessible, but this specific pocket is way too commercialized now. There are no proper parks for kids to play safely without getting hit by tourist traffic or delivery bikes.
I love coming here for the clothes and food shops, but the parking situation is a disaster. The main outer road parking fills up by noon, and the local rickshaws overcharge outsiders like crazy.
Rental yields are excellent because students and young professionals flock to this area for the lifestyle. However, the lack of proper sewer planning and severe monsoon waterlogging makes the structures degrade very quickly.
Everything from pharmacies to grocery stores is available within 50 meters. The community is peaceful and we have zero safety issues even late at night. Once you accept the crowded lanes, life here is perfectly fine.
