About Moshi

Sitting on NH 60, Moshi is one of the eminent residential and industrial suburbs of the Pimpri-Chinchwad region. Being the outermost suburb of Pune, it has grown into a residential area in recent years. The Moshi Pin Code is 412105. A defining factor for the region is the Indrayani River, which runs through it. Nearby areas are Chimbali, Patil Nagar and Bhosari.

Moshi Pune can be considered an integrated area as it has many professionals, families, and students. Its industrial and residential mix has facilitated opportunities for working professionals, especially those in the adjacent IT and manufacturing parks. Moshi appeals to families due to its modest way of life and the availability of good schools, hospitals, and commercial centres. The neighbourhood is rich in culture and community activities, and festivals are held there.

Moshi is a silent locality and close to Chakan industrial area, Talawade IT Park for job workers and also very close to Nashik-Pune Highway. Road is wide and traffic jams happen very rarely.

I bought a flat in Moshi in 2019. It’s close to Chakan MIDC, so finding tenants is easy. Property prices have appreciated slowly but steadily. Still waiting for better public transport though.

I have lived in Moshi for three years. It’s family-friendly and relatively pollution-free. Daily needs are within reach, but there are no big malls or entertainment centers nearby.

Living here has its perks—less crowd, more greenery. But it’s inconvenient for people who need to travel to central Pune often. Public transport means are almost absent here

I invested in Moshi hoping for metro connectivity benefits. It's under development, but the pace is slow. Still, I see promise due to nearby employment hubs.

I rented a flat here during the pandemic. It’s peaceful and affordable, but delivery apps and cab services work unreliably. Also, some roads flood during heavy rains.

Whats good about Moshi

  • The road and rail system is properly developed, providing easy access to Pune and other places.
  • Being close to employment centres.
  • Housing suitable for families, students and professionals at affordable prices.
  • Good schools, hospitals and shops are available.
  • Emerging Metro connection to improve ease of travel from one location to another.

What can be improved about Moshi

  • Some regions report high pollution levels due to waste dumping and burning.
  • Although it helps to control congestion, signalling traffic at important intersections is sometimes time-wasting.
  • Home delivery service is unavailable in some shops or local department stores.
  • The absence of five-star hotels in the neighbourhood can limit the choices of extravagant accommodation services.
