About Chandni Chowk, New Delhi

Chandni Chowk is among the oldest and busiest marketplaces in Old Delhi. It was established in 1650 by the Mughal ruler Shah Jahan and planned by his daughter Jahanara Begum. The market runs from the Lahori Gate of the Red Fort to Fatehpuri Masjid. It is located near Old Delhi Railway Station. Chandni Chowk PIN code is 110006.

Chandni Chowk metro is super close to my place. I can go to Connaught Place in 15 minutes. So much delicious street food options are here. Flats are old but cheap. I am now used to with the noise and crowds.

Born here. Seen many changes in and around Chandni Chowk. Markets are busier, roads have improved, but still crowded. Easy to get around, but cleanliness is only okay.

Living here is awesome. There are good markets and food stalls. Yellow line, Violet line and Express line metros are within walking distance, it is a big plus, but the area is always crowded and messy. The area is safe enough.

Property value is climbing and the rental emand is strong. It is easy to rent out. The area is noisy, and parking is chaos.
