Block 27, Gulabi Bagh, PIN code 110007, is a residential pocket in North Delhi bordered by Pratap Nagar, Shastri Nagar, and Kamla Nagar. The block sits close to the green expanse of Gulabi Bagh Central Park and is well served by social infrastructure, including Gulabi Bagh Senior Secondary School and NKS Super Speciality Hospital, both within a kilometre. Pratap Nagar Metro Station on the Red Line is about 1.5 km away, and Rani Jhansi Road serves as the primary link to the rest of the city. Property prices in Block 27, Gulabi Bagh range from Rs. 3,880 to Rs. 14,444 per sq ft, and steady demand from Delhi University-linked tenants and government employees keeps the rental market active.
Water is given only for 2 hours in the morning here. If you miss that window, storing it becomes a headache. Otherwise the area is quite calm and safe for walking around.
Main roads near Kamla Nagar market side get stuck badly every evening. Driving through that signal takes easily 20 minutes extra. I just take the Metro from Shastri Nagar now to save time.
Getting an auto to Kanhiya Nagar Metro station in the morning is smooth, takes around 30 rupees. But returning after 8 PM is tricky, drivers ask double or just refuse to go.
Garbage is just left on the street corners till noon and smells terrible. Drainage also chokes up fast when it rains heavily... whole road near Block 27 turns into a small pond.
Morning walks are pleasant because the internal lanes stay quiet early on. Local vegetable vendors come right to the street, so getting daily stuff done is very easy and peaceful.
Parking your car here is an absolute nightmare. I spent almost 25 minutes searching for a single open slot near the main market lane. Better to come on a bike IMO.
Rental demand in Shakti Nagar is always high because students from North Campus prefer staying here. Houses don't stay empty for long, so returns stay stable throughout the year.
So many cheap food corners and tea stalls nearby, perfect for quick snacks. NGL the auto fares are a bit high sometimes, but overall living here as a student is very sorted.
Delivery vans struggle to enter the block because vehicles are parked on both sides of the narrow road. Loading and unloading goods before 10 AM is the only way to manage.

Renting near Satyawati College is super easy for food and daily stuff. Everything is nearby, but finding a spot for my bike in the lane is always a pain. Streets get very tight in the evening.
