Renting in 11A Old Rajinder Nagar is very practical if you prepare for exams here. Rooms are small and rent is around 18k, but Rajendra Place Metro is just a 5 minute walk. Everything you need daily is right outside the door.

Water pressure from DJB is very weak in the mornings and motor is needed daily. Also, students park bikes everywhere in front of gates, blocking the entire lane... driving a car out in peak hours is a real pain.

Daily shopping on Bada Bazar Road is super easy with fresh veggies and fruit stalls. Sir Ganga Ram Hospital is very close for emergencies. Main issue is the heavy e-rickshaw traffic and noise on internal roads all day.

Location is great because Karol Bagh and Rajendra Place metro stations are walking distance. Reaching central offices takes very less time. Autos charge 20 rupees to the metro, though Shankar Road signal gets jammed in the evening.

MCD garbage collection in 11A block lanes is irregular and waste piles up near the corner till afternoon. During monsoon rains, the drains overflow fast and streets stay flooded for hours... area has become far too crowded now.

Local pharmacies and grocery stores are just 2 minutes away on the main lane. DDA parks near New Rajinder Nagar are good for morning walks, but footpaths on Shankar Road are broken and full of parked scooters.

Finding a parking spot for a car in Old Rajinder Nagar is impossible. The narrow lanes are jammed with delivery bikes and rickshaws. I had to park near Pusa Road and walk all the way inside.

High demand for PG beds and small flat floors throughout the year because of UPSC students. Rents are solid, easily 20k to 25k for 1BHK set, and properties never sit vacant for even a week.

Super easy life for students with 24 hour study libraries, tea stalls, and cheap mess food everywhere. E-rickshaws to metro cost 10 rupees. NGL the rooms are tiny for 15k rent, but locality is fully sorted.

Footfall on Bada Bazar Road market is steady from morning till late night. Supply tempos struggle to enter the block lanes during daytime because of double parked vehicles... unloading goods before 9 AM is the only way to manage.
