Rents are quite reasonable here and you get decent sized flats. The block markets have all daily items like milk and vegetables, so you never have to travel far for basic needs.

Getting to Delhi for work is fine since the metro station is close by. But the main road near Hapur Chonki gets totally jammed in the evenings, wasting a lot of time.

Coaching centres are nearby and finding budget rooms or shared PGs is very easy. Food joints and local eateries around the main market are cheap and stay open quite late.

Encroachments on the main roads have made the lanes very narrow for delivery vehicles. Customer parking is zero, so people hesitate to stop by the shops during evening rush hours.

The internal parks are decent for morning walks but stray dogs are a massive menace here. It feels risky to walk outside alone after dark because of the poor street lighting.

Multiple good schools and clinics are located right inside the blocks. The area is quite safe during the day and everything from fruits to medicines is within walking distance.

Water supply timings are terrible, we get municipal water only for 1 hour in the morning. The pressure is so low that everyone has to use booster pumps or depend on boring.

Visiting relatives here is a headache if you drive a car because there is absolutely no visitor parking space inside the residential lanes. People park bikes blindly on roadsides.

Property demand is always solid in Shastri Nagar because it is a settled, well-known area. Independent floors sell quickly and rental income from families is very steady.

Drainage is okay during normal days but the roads completely overflow during heavy monsoon rains. Otherwise, it is a very self-contained area where you don't need to leave for daily stuff...
