Write a Review

Travelling to work is fairly easy since Shaheed Sthal metro station is just 2 km away. Shared autos are always parked near the sector 8 corner. The biggest pain is the evening jam on the main road connecting towards Purana Bus Adda, it completely gets stuck.

Renting a place here in Sector 8 costs me around 14k for a decent space. Basic grocery shops and diaries are right around the street corners so everyday things are sorted. The internal lanes are just narrow and dark at night because streetlights don't work.

Staying here as a PG student is budget-friendly. Lots of food stalls and local markets are within walking distance. The only problem is the massive water shortage during summers, the local supply drops to barely 1 hour in the mornings.

Living in Sector 8 is quite comfortable for families. Scholars International School is very close by which saves travel time. Streets feel very safe for regular evening walks and the neighborhood stays quiet after 9 PM.

The nearby parks like Gandhi Park are quite nice for fresh air. Nagar Hospital is also close in case of emergencies. However, walking on the main roads is getting difficult because bikes drive rashly and there are no proper footpaths left.

The drainage system in Sector 8 is a total failure. Even a small rainfall blocks the lanes with dirty water. Plus, open garbage dumping on the corner plot creates a terrible smell across the whole block. Customers avoid stopping their cars here.

Good residential pocket where daily necessities are easily available. The neighborhood mandir keeps the vibe peaceful. Main issue is that parking a car outside the house is impossible because everybody has taken up the roadside space.

Water supply has regular pressure fluctuations here, you cannot survive without a water pump. The municipal garbage vans are also very erratic and often skip the inner lanes of Sector 8 for days, making people dump waste outside.

Property demand is consistently stable in Sector 8 due to its proximity to RDC commercial hub. Houses fetch good monthly rents from executives. It is an established, solid pocket for long term value without any major drops.

Visited Sector 8 multiple times recently. The location is good since it is close to the railway station and markets, but finding a visitor parking spot is a nightmare. Roads inside are highly congested during peak daytime hours.
