I’m staying in a rented flat in Narayan Peth, mainly because it’s super close to my office. The biggest plus is, everything’s walkable - banks, shops, eateries. Public buses are frequent, and I use my two-wheeler mostly.

I’ve lived in Narayan Peth all my life. The charm of this place is its temples, small eateries, book shops, and old friends. Roads are narrow, but that’s the case with all peth areas. It’s a very convenient place to live.

What I like about Narayan Peth is the location. I can get to JM Road, Tilak Road or Shaniwar Wada in no time. It’s got good local food joints too. Most flats are older construction, so don’t expect modern amenities.

Narayan Peth is part of the old city area. I bought a flat here more than 10 years ago and have kept it on rent since. Demand is always there from students and professionals. Appreciation is not very fast, but rental returns are consistent.

For me, investing in Narayan Peth was more about steady rental than fast growth. There are always bachelors or small families looking for flats here because it’s close to Fergusson College, Deccan Gymkhana, etc.
