Been here ever since i moved to Mumbai. It has a warm feeling. so many societies and condo around makes it more family friendly and safe to live alone. there are good hospitals and malls nearby too.

Kokan Nagar is a great area. very safe and livable. inner streets are good to walk on but i have noticed some blocks have irresponsible garbage dumping on random places.
