Karve Nagar, Pune

The infrastructure around Karve Nagar is good. We get PMPML buses, auto rickshaws for daily travel. There are no railway stations or metro access nearby.

For me, a peaceful ambience is what matter the most and I get that in Karve Nagar. It is a safe area to live with family. Proper street lighting in there on roads and streets. Frequent police patrolling also ensures our security.

I have been Karve Nagar for a decade. The infrastructure has undergone a huge change. Now, the road condition is good and they are in decent shape throughout the year. They are maintained from time to time. There are now huge shopping options. Grocery stores, shopping outlets, shopping malls, restaurants, etc., are there almost on every corner.

Cleanliness in Karve Nagar is commendable. The municipal corporation collects waste regularly. Footpaths are clean. We do not see much problem regarding water and electricity supply.

Karve Nagar offers all sorts of public amenities. Hospitals and clinics are there in a large number. We get pharmacies, diagnostic centers, and pathology labs within a short distance.

In this locality, there are many well-maintained parks where you can find walking tracks and space for yoga. Families take their kids to play there. These spaces are clean, green, and safe. Senior citizens often gather here.

Karve Nagae is close to many colleges. There are a lot of students and affordable accomodation in the area. The roads are fine.

The rental market here is evergreen. There's a good demand for rental properties, which ensures a high occupancy rate. However, the properties are mostly old and require regular maintenance.

This area used to be a quiet residential suburb, but the rapid commercialisation has made it very crowded and noisy. The constant traffic and lack of parking make it a difficult place.

It is a convenient place to live. However, the traffic congestion, noise levels, and the transient student population might not be ideal for families with young children or those seeking a quiet neighborhood.

दीनानाथ मंगेशकर हॉस्पिटल हे कर्वेनगर परिसरातील सर्वात मोठे आणि महत्त्वाचे मल्टीस्पेशालिटी हॉस्पिटल आहे आणि परिसराचे प्रमुख आरोग्य केंद्र मानले जाते. अभिनव विद्यालय, पी. ई. एस मॉडर्न स्कूल नामांकित शैक्षणिक संस्था जवळ आहे.

Shops for daily needs are right around the corner and sharing autos to Nal Stop area are easy to get. Rental rates are fine around 18k for a decent place. Only issue is evening traffic near Cummins College signal get very slow.

Finding a spot to park a car near the main market lane is total frustration daily. Road side vendors eat up all the walking space. Streets are tight and autos just block the corners near Vandevi Mandir stop...

Water comes regularly in morning hours and street lights on inner roads work properly now. Everything basic like vegetable stalls, clinics, and banks are within walking distance. It gets a bit noisy near DTH flyover side though.

Drainage lines near Sahawas Society side overflow whenever it rains heavily. Water logging makes walking on footpaths impossible. PMPML buses are mostly overcrowded during peak hours. Extremely fed up with the garbage dumped near corner bins.

Demand for student PG places around Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha is super high right now. Easy to find tenants without waiting. Location stays solid because Kothrud and Paud Road are just 10 minutes away.

Area is okayish for a short stay. Getting a direct auto to Anand Nagar metro station takes around 20 rupees, but drivers ask double during late evening hours. Quiet internal lanes but main junction traffic is annoying.

Moving around on a bike is super smooth through inner gallis to avoid main road jams. Plenty of cheap food joints and mess options close by. Pretty safe to walk back late evening from bus stop.

Vehicles are parked carelessly on both sides of the road near Pratibha Nagar lane, leaving no space to drive. Municipal garbage collection truck timing is completely erratic here. The noise levels in evening hours have gone up a lot.

Calm residential vibe compared to other busy parts of Pune. Medical shops and groceries are open till 10 pm so daily life is sorted. Getting to Hinjewadi office takes around 45 minutes by bike, manageable.

Living here is comfortable for daily needs but internal roads have too many open potholes right now. PMC water pressure is low on second floor without a pump... otherwise general safety and street lighting is decent enough.
