Daily travel is a massive pain because of the single entry-exit lanes. The main Mandi Road gets completely jammed during peak hours, and crossing the Chhatarpur road bottleneck easily eats up 30 minutes every single evening.
The area has a good, quiet atmosphere and the air feels fresher here since we are close to the green belts. Basic daily shops are nearby, but municipal water supply is highly irregular and we depend heavily on tankers.
Renting an independent floor here is a good deal space-wise. However, the internal roads are completely unpaved in most parts and turn into a terrible muddy mess whenever it rains, making it hard to ride a bike.
The locality stays mostly calm during the day and neighborhood temples are at walkable distances. My main issue is the lack of proper paved footpaths, and the rashly driven e-rickshaws make evening walks on the main lane risky.
Retail footfall is decent from the local residential crowd, but getting stock deliveries is a daily struggle. The narrow village entry roads get totally blocked by randomly parked cars, leaving zero space for commercial mini-trucks to pass.
