Mornings are very pleasant for a walk here around the NDA road side lanes. The air is fresh and there is less noise compared to the city center. Only issue is that local footpaths are broken or missing at many spots.
Rents are touch high, paying around 25k for a flat. The area has everything like supermarkets and clinics close by, so you do not have to run far for daily needs. Water supply is a bit tight though... comes only at fixed hours.
Living here is very peaceful and safe even late at night. Streets are well lit and there are plenty of grocery stores like D-Mart within easy reach. Getting onto the highway is very quick, which makes traveling around Pune quite smooth.
Parking is a massive headache on the main commercial streets. Customers constantly complain because there is no space to park cars. Delivery vehicles also struggle to find a spot near the shops, traffic police keeps towing them.
Good schools are located nearby which saves a lot of travel time. The internal roads in Bavdhan are safe enough for bicycle riding in the evenings. Street lights work properly, so walking around after dark feels quite safe.
Water tankers are still a daily sight in this area. The civic body supply is just not enough for all the buildings. Roads are okayish but during heavy rains some spots near the highway service road get totally flooded somehow managing.
I come here every weekend to meet friends. The café scene around Patil Nagar is pretty good with nice hangout spots. Finding an auto back to Kothrud is quick from the main chowk, though they always ask for extra money.
The dust level near the highway stretch is too much, everything gets covered in a layer of dirt within hours. Noise from heavy trucks passing through Chandani Chowk all night makes it impossible to sleep peacefully. Very disappointed with the civic maintenance.
