Write a Review

Getting an auto or e-rickshaw to Uttam Nagar West metro station is super fast from here. Rents are very reasonable around 11k for a 2BHK, and small local shops for daily milk and eggs are right downstairs.

Car parking in the internal streets is a massive head-ache every single evening. Roads are very tight and people just park anywhere, so taking out a four-wheeler during emergency times becomes almost impossible.

Travel is manageable since Najafgarh Road is close and shared autos run non-stop. But the main road junction gets choked badly during peak office hours. Decent area overall if you rely on bikes or metro.

Local chemists and fresh vegetable carts come right into the lane, so daily buying is easy. But footpaths are practically non-existent and broken in parts, making morning walks a bit risky with all the bike traffic.

Budget mess food and PG options around this belt are quite cheap. Shared e-rickshaws to the metro station cost just 10 rupees which keeps travel costs low. Streets stay reasonably busy so walking back at night feels fine...

Open drains near the street corner overflow during monsoon rains and stink up the market lane. Delivery vans always get stuck because of parked vehicles on both sides. Drainage maintenance is just terrible here.

Basic necessities are easily taken care of with small grocery stores and local schools nearby. DDA park spaces are a short walk away for evening play. The neighbourhood feels safe and friendly for residential living.

Water supply comes only for 1 hour in the morning, so pumps have to be switched on strictly on time. Streetlights in a few side alleys stay broken for weeks. Traffic on the main outer road keeps getting worse.

Finding parking for a car here is next to impossible when visiting during daytime. But auto availability from the main road is great and local street food near the market corner is pretty good.

Rental yield is consistent because working folks and small families prefer this belt for low rents. Properties don't sit vacant for long, though narrow lanes and parking issues limit high resale appreciation.
