बाणेर हे प्रामुख्याने उच्च दर्जाच्या निवासी प्रकल्पांसाठी ओळखले जाते. येथे आलिशान उंच इमारती, सुरक्षित सोसायट्या (Gated Communities) मोठ्या प्रमाणात उपलब्ध आहेत. बाणेरची सर्वात मोठी ओळख म्हणजे त्याची आयटी क्षेत्राशी असलेली उत्कृष्ट कनेक्टिव्हिटी. हिंजवडी आयटी पार्क (Hinjewadi IT Park) येथून जवळ (सुमारे ९-१० किमी) असल्याने, आयटी कर्मचाऱ्यांसाठी हे राहण्याचे सर्वात सोयीचे ठिकाण आहे. शहराचा भाग असूनही बाणेरमध्ये निसर्गाचे सान्निध्य आहे. येथे बाणेर-पाषाण जैवविविधता उद्यान (Biodiversity Park) आणि बाणेर टेकडी (Baner Hill) यांसारखी ठिकाणे आहेत, जी ट्रेकिंग आणि निसर्गाच्या शांततेसाठी प्रसिद्ध आहेत. परिसरात अनेक उत्कृष्ट रेस्टॉरंट्स, कॅफे, पब आणि शॉपिंग सेंटर्स आहेत. बालेवाडी हाय स्ट्रीट (Balewadi High Street) जवळ असल्यामुळे येथील जीवनशैली अत्यंत आकर्षक आहे.

The place is growing fast. While that's good, it also means construction noise is kind of a daily thing here.

If you’re okay with slightly longer ROI periods, this place is ideal. Values are climbing, but so are construction delays in some pockets.

Rentals are slightly steep, but you do get better apartments for the price compared to older city areas. Then again the finding busses is kind of hard.

I bought a 1BHK a while back and haven’t faced a single month without a tenant. It's a reliable market if you're aiming for steady rental income.
