Ullasa Nagar is a rapidly developing residential locality in Chennai with pin code 602025. It is situated near Teachers Colony, VIP Nagar, and Putlur within the Tiruvallur district. Located 40 kilometres away from Chennai, this neighborhood has a quiet, family-friendly vibe and sits close to landmarks like Sri Perumal Temple and Amma Park Putlur. Residents access medical care at nearby hospitals such as Sunshine Multispeciality Hospital. Connectivity is supported by Putlur Halt Station and Tiruvallur High Road. In 2026, property rates in Ullasa Nagar averaged Rs. 4,500 per sq. ft. for 2 BHK builder floors and independent houses. Rental demand remains steady due to the growing industrial workforce in Kakkalur.
Traffic isn't a major issue within the colony but the connecting roads to the Tiruvallur highroad can get busy during peak hours. The roads inside are decent but can get a bit dusty due to the open lands nearby
Peaceful and safe area. good number of parks nearby...but not much hangour spots here so we usually head to Tiruvallur or DMart for weekend outings..
Ullasa nagar has a village type atmosphere..one grievance I have is the slow development of street lighting in some of the lanes. While the main roads are fine the inner blocks can feel a bit too dark after 8pm..
The rental yield is consistent because there is a high demand for affordable housing from employees working in the Kakkalur Industrial Estate...i'd say always stick to DTCP approved plots for a safe exit.
Roads inside are okay and daily stuff is easy to get. I don't need to go far for groceries or medicines. Evening traffic gets a bit slow near the main road but rest of the day feels manageable.
Water supply has been fine for me and streets stay fairly calm at night. Garbage pickup is regular in most lanes. I like that things are nearby and not much running around is needed.
Schools and clinics are close so daily routine stays sorted. Streets are active till late evening and that helps. Parking is little tight on some roads, otherwise area feels decent to stay.
Traffic is too much during office hours and autos ask extra sometimes. Reaching work itself takes patience. Roads here need better fixing, daily it becomes headache.
Water timings are okayish but during heavy rain some stretches get messy... not serious every time though. Shops are enough around, so somehow manage.
I like the quiet mornings here. Vegetable carts and small stores are close by, no need to travel much. Footpaths are not great in some parts but pace of life is nice.
I come here often and parking on busy evenings is pain. Tea shops and small places for snacks are plenty. Nothing fancy, just a normal area and that's okay.
Roads here very bad in few pockets, and dust is there most days. NGL I expected better upkeep. Traffic builds up quickly and finding space for car is another issue.
PG life is fine here, buses are usable and food spots are enough. Night time gets noisy sometimes... TBH that's the only thing which annoys me.
Customers keep coming because area stays busy through the day. Basic shops, pharmacies and banks are nearby only. I don't face many issues here, just weekend traffic gets slow.

great way to save on rent while staying connected to the suburban rail network. I found a spacious 2 bhk here for around 12,000 which is impossible to find in the main city.
