I have rented a 2BHK in Thoraipakkam and find it to be a decent locality. It is close to my IT job in OMR, and has shops, schools, hospitals nearby. Public transport is manageable too.

Locality is good but power cuts are frequent in summer, and water supply isn’t consistent. Maintenance in older buildings is an issue despite high rent.

I shifted from T. Nagar to Thoraipakkam. Less chaos, better air, and more space. Also, easy to reach Velachery or Adyar quickly.

My flat faces a park, and the area feels safe even late at night. A reliable locality for families and long-term investment.

Bought a villa plot near Thoraipakkam junction. With new malls and schools opening up, appreciation is looking promising long-term.

The locality is decent but lacks metro access and nightlife. Have to travel far for entertainment. For working professionals, this gets boring quickly.

Recently shifted to Thoraipakkam this place has midnight biriyani for food lovers and Night shift IT employees. Also, less traffic, good air and high-rise buliding, Hospital nearby, great place live by.

I rent a 2 BHK near Rajiv Gandhi Salai (OMR). The commute to TCS and IT SEZ is quick. Schools like Thiruvalluvar Vidhyashram and APL Global School are close for families.

The roads in Thoraipakkam are wide and clean. Public transport from Thoraipakkam Bus Stop is reliable. Healthcare facilities like Sugan and KL Hospital are nearby. Rent is higher but worth it.

Living in Thoraipakkam is convenient and comfortable. The proximity to BSR Mall and several parks like Egret Park provides good leisure options. The area stays vibrant with offices and colleges around.

I moved here recently for work at Chennai One IT SEZ. The roads are well-maintained, and connectivity through Rajiv Gandhi Salai is excellent. Local colleges and hospitals like Gem Hospital add to the area’s appeal.

Thoraipakkam is ideal for investment. The infrastructure is solid, with good roads, schools, and hospitals. Rental demand is strong due to many IT professionals. Prices are growing steadily.

Getting nice PG rooms here is easy but eating daily is a pain. Most mess food around the Anand Nagar side is just okayish and too spicy. Finding a quiet spot to sit and study outside is tough because it is always noisy.

Getting a shared auto near the OMR main road signal is very easy in the mornings. I stay near MCN Nagar and the market is just walkable, so daily shopping is sorted. Rent is slightly high but manageable.

The inner roads around Thoraipakkam are quite safe for walking in the evenings. Plenty of small grocery shops and clinics are nearby, so there is no need to run far for daily things. Traffic on main road is the only issue.

Evening traffic near the Akkarai junction cut-off is an absolute nightmare daily. Took me 40 minutes today just to cross the main stretch by car. The dust from all the heavy vehicle movement makes it worse.

Water supply is the biggest headache here now. The whole area gets corporation water only for 1 hour in the morning, rest we have to buy private tankers. Groundwater is completely salty and useless.

Mornings are peaceful if you walk inside the Balamurugan Nagar lanes. The main roads have no proper footpaths and bikes ride very fast, but the inner streets are quite chill and safe for elderly people.

Parking a car anywhere near the main shopping lanes is a big mess. Streets are narrow and people just park randomly on both sides. I always prefer taking a cab when visiting friends here.

Rental demand is very high in this area because it is close to all the big IT parks. Properties near the main road fetch around 25k easily. Capital appreciation is also looking steady.

Daily garbage collection by the corporation is quite regular on our street. They clean the bins every morning without fail, so the area stays clean. Makes a big difference for shops around here.

The drains here are completely choked, a small rain and the roads look like a swimming pool... Water stays logged for 2 days near the junction. Driving a bike through the dirty water is disgusting.
