It is a peaceful locality. Commute is easy by bike, and there are buses too. Rent is very affordable compared to the inner city. The area has decent grocery shops, clinics, and even a few small eateries.

Purchased a 1BHK flat as a rental investment. The locality is simple, mostly middle-class families. Infrastructure is basic, but there is no water problem or power cut. It is not very well-known, so resale takes time.

I have seen the area change slowly. Earlier it was just individual houses, now a few apartment blocks have come up. We have peaceful surroundings, and regular water supply. No major traffic issues either.

Roads are better than expected, and the area is mostly residential. For families, it’s a good peaceful option. For hangout, we get some good parks and lakes like Chembarakkam.

Sikkarayapuram is not very developed yet. There are no malls or big restaurants nearby. The basic stuff is available. It is a safe area, but not much nightlife or social vibe.

Located near Porur NH4 highway. Frequent bus connectivity to all over the city but no metro or train access. Sikkarayapuram is a peaceful, safe, and affordable area in West Chennai with basic amentities like schools, hospitals, and grocery stores. It is perfect for families and professionals who prefer quiet living and don’t mind relying on private transport.
