Sharma Nagar is a residential locality within Vyasarpadi in Northern Chennai. The area is well-connected by bus and train, making it easy to commute to nearby neighborhoods and other parts of the city, though it lacks metro access. With basic amentities like schools, hospitals, colleges, ATM's, banks and supermarkets. This locality is a good choice for families with limited budget, offering both low property rates and rental prices.

Travel to Central or Egmore is quick by train. That’s honestly the biggest advantage of living here. Also the area feels mostly active so also safe.

Traffic and inner streets have made things a trouble for me. daily commuting gets worse with the heat too. But on a good side, its affordable and feels safe for the crowd

Overall good area. rent is cheaper than nearby places. my office is also walkable so i dont mind the traffic

Having lived here since childhood, i have a biased feeling towards here. although its not same as it was before, it feels like home. i just wish the road infrastructure improves somehow. we also need more parks

Compared to Kolathur or Anna Nagar, this is cheaper but also more crowded and less developed. so growth is slow
