Selaivayal is a calm, budget-friendly residential area with public transport connectivity and nearby amenities. Homes here are budget-friendly, great for first-time buyers. The infrastructure in this area is still growing, but has good future value for families and working people.

I stayed here for a while with my cousin. Not touristy at all, but you get an authentic local vibe. It feels quieter than Central Chennai

It’s not a high-growth zone, so capital appreciation is slow. If you're looking for affordable entry points, this is a decent option but be patient with the ROI

Rental properties here are old but cheap. The area is peaceful and mostly residential, which I like. But getting to central parts of Chennai without a two-wheeler can be a bit of a hassle because there's no good public transport

The area is safe for families but one issue we constantly face is drainage during heavy rains. The roads get waterlogged pretty fast. I wish the municipality would focus more on infrastructure and garbage management.
