Rent here is fine, got a house for 12k. But getting an auto near Navyug Market signal takes forever during evening hours. Street lights also do not work on half the inner lanes, so walking back late is a bit unsafe.
Staying in a PG near Gandhi Nagar market area. Plenty of cheap eating options and small shops around. Shaheed Sthal metro is just 10 minutes away by shared auto, fare is only 15 rupees. Pretty sorted location for students IMO.
Daily commute from Ghaziabad railway station side is a big pain RN. Heavy jam near the signal every single evening, takes 30 minutes just to cross 1 km. Roads are full of dust and potholes... driving car here daily is exhausting.
Water comes twice a day for 2 hours, which is enough if you store it. Daily groceries and fresh vegetables are easily available right near Ambedkar Road. Traffic gets heavy near the main crossing, but overall area is quite settled and calm.
Drainage system is terrible in this area. Even with light rain, water logging starts near the main road junction and stays for hours. Open drains are never cleaned properly by municipal workers. NGL living here in monsoon is pure misery.
Garbage is just dumped on the corner of internal roads and kept for days. Smells bad and attracts flies everywhere. Footpaths are completely blocked or broken, so morning walks on the street are becoming very hard now...

Roads are extremely narrow inside the blocks, so taking a car inside is a bad idea. Better to park near the main market and walk. Autos are easily available though, and food stalls near the junction serve really good snacks.
