Takes 5 minutes to reach Sarojini Nagar Metro Gate 1 from my lane, super sorted transit. Auto stands and quick bite stalls are right outside. Only problem is picking up cabs on weekend evenings due to massive jam.
Garbage collection happens regularly, but vendors dump plastic bags along the outer market lanes by late night. Water comes on fixed hours morning and evening. Area is noisy during day, but very familiar and lively.
Morning time before 10 AM is quiet and pleasant for walking in residential pockets. Footpaths along main roads are okay, but near market lanes they are totally blocked by roadside stalls. Walking in evening is tough.
Parking a car near NDMC multilevel parking takes forever on weekends. Always better to take Pink Line metro directly. Street food stalls near Babu Market lane are great, but crowd is overwhelming.
High footfall due to market and metro keeps commercial spaces in constant demand. Residential rents for PG and small flats are steady. Internal road congestion and old drainage in rainy season are minor drawbacks.
PG rooms near Ring Road side are cheap and convenient. Metro access at Sarojini station makes commuting to college super fast. Plenty of budget clothes and food options around, zero complaints TBH.
