the environment is peaceful and silent mostly but since its very close to the flyover, dust and pollution is very common..

good place if you want to save on rent..I just wish the street lighting was better in the interior lanes

major risk here is the recurring flood issue in some lower lying streets of Kolathur which can hit property prices too

Rent here is much more reasonable than Anna Nagar which is why I picked Samy Nagar. I can easily reach the Villivakkam railway station in less than 10 mins for big commutes

Convenient lifestyle here..local markets and grocery shops are close. there are no fancy cafes or malls inside the colony so I usually head to VR Chennai

The roads are very bad and full of potholes. During rains the whole area gets waterlogged. Getting an auto is total loot here.

Very safe and quiet residential pocket. Water comes regularly in the mornings. Parking is also manageable compared to other busy areas.

This part of Chennai is well connected. I can easily find shared autos and buses for office. Lots of food choices and shops around.

Very noisy area with constant vehicle sounds. Garbage is dumped on corners and not cleared regularly. Rents are too costly for this quality.

Great place for families. Streets are safe even at night and streetlights work properly. Daily garbage pickup happens on time.

Living here is manageable. Main roads get crowded in evening but basic shops are close. Water timing is a small issue sometimes.

Decent area to stay if you have a bike. Getting public transport like buses takes time. Water supply is mostly regular.
