चाकण आणि तळेगाव एमआयडीसीमध्ये काम करणाऱ्या लोकांसाठी प्रगती नगर हे एक उत्तम ठिकाण आहे. मुख्य रस्त्यांपासून जवळ असल्याने प्रवासाचा वेळ वाचतो. घराचे भाडे पुण्याच्या इतर भागांच्या तुलनेत स्वस्त आणि परिसर शांत असल्याने कामावरून आल्यावर चांगला आराम मिळतो.

आम्ही गेल्या काही वर्षांपासून प्रगती नगरमध्ये राहतोय. हे एक सुरक्षित आणि मोकळे गाववजा पण प्रगत नगर आहे. मुलांना खेळण्यासाठी सुरक्षित जागा आहेत आणि दररोजच्या गरजेच्या वस्तू (भाजी, किराणा) जवळच मिळतात. शाळेसाठी व्हॅनची सोय उपलब्ध असल्याने मुलांच्या शिक्षणाची चिंता मिटली आहे

निवृत्तीनंतरच्या आयुष्यासाठी हे ठिकाण खूप छान आहे. ना जास्त कोलाहल, ना जास्त ट्रॅफिक. सकाळी मंदिरात जाण्यासाठी आणि संध्याकाळी चालण्यासाठी रस्ते सुरक्षित आहेत. स्थानिक लोक खूप समंजस आहेत, त्यामुळे इथे राहताना सुरक्षित वाटते.
