I have a property in Pothur and has given it on rent. The locality has good tenant demand so my property never remains vacant. However, they do raise complaints like the locality has scarcity of water, inner lanes are dirty and most importantly, public transportation is not that good.

Living in Pothur is peaceful. Properties here has low rent. However, the limited public transport options make commuting to central Chennai a challenge. It is basically good for families who prefer quiet surroundings and aren't reliant on daily travel.

Recently I visited a friend in Pothur and was impressed with the area. The locality is calm and surrounded by greenery. Not many shops or restaurants are nearby though.

Pothur is a safe locality. We are living here since 2019 and have never faced any issue. Traffic congestion and waterlogging, especially in the monsoons is there but these problems are almost in every part of the city so can't complain about it much.

Pothur has high rental demand so my 3 BHK property has never remained vacant. I enjoy consistent rental income, so I am happy with my investment decision here. Roads and other civic amenities do need attention though.

Pothur has budget accomodations. Facilities are limited nearby. For hospitals and malls, I travel to Tambaram. Still, the calm atmosphere makes it comfortable.
