love that plenty of budget food options and local tea stalls right around the corner. its also directly connected via egmore metro to the city which is a big plus for my office commute

One major headache is the parking situation since most older houses do not have dedicated slots. We often have to juggle our vehicles on the street which is becoming impossible with the increasing number of commercial vehicles nearby.

the area is quite commercial and stays busy late into the night which feels safe but also very crowded and noisy...

the rental income is steady but the capital appreciation has slowed down compared to the emerging suburbs. The area is almost fully developed so there is very little room for massive new projects

i used to like the area's peace before..I feel the area is losing its residential charm to commercial activities. The peace we had ten years ago is gone replaced by the constant hum of the city.

The location is extremely central, right near Chennai Central railway station. Public transport and metro options are available 24/7, making commuting a breeze.

The biggest issue here is the immense commercial crowd and noise. Internal streets are highly congested, and finding car parking is next to impossible.

Rents are slightly high for small spaces, but the supreme connectivity justifies the cost. Wholesale markets, eateries, and pharmacies are available at a 2-minute walk.

Reputed traditional schools and medical centers are nearby. However, the colony is too packed and there are no public parks or open green spaces for kids to play safely.

Lived here for more than a decade. It is a highly active and bustling commercial-residential pocket. Power supply is reliable, but drainage pipelines choke during intense monsoons.

The continuous traffic noise and dust make it very hard for elderly residents to rest. Walking on the streets is highly risky due to moving commercial carts and two-wheelers.

I visit Periyamet frequently for business needs. The market collection is unmatched, but bringing a four-wheeler car inside Mahaveer Colony is a massive mistake.

Commercial and residential real estate values here command a high premium. Rental yields are exceptionally strong with practically zero vacancy rates throughout the year.

Budget accommodations are mostly cramped, but proximity to transit hubs makes it highly convenient for students traveling to various city colleges daily.

Market competition is extremely cut-throat, but customer footfall is huge. Strict commercial vehicle loading timings are sometimes difficult to manage during peak hours.
