Kaseru Walan Paharganj, located in the heart of Delhi, is a bustling commercial and residential hub in Central Delhi, bordering areas like Connaught Place and Karol Bagh. The pincode of Kaseru Walan Paharganj Delhi, Delhi is 110055. This locality exhibits a vibrant, densely populated, and commercial neighbourhood vibe, with a mix of old and new establishments. Essential amenities include institutions like Maulana Azad Medical College and Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, catering to healthcare and education needs. Connectivity is strong, with the Rajiv Chowk Metro Station on the Yellow and Blue Lines approximately 2 km away, and major arterial roads like Deshbandhu Gupta Road facilitating travel. Property types include apartments and independent houses. As of 2026, rental ranges for apartments are between Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 35,000, while property prices hover around Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 25,000 per sq ft.
The internal alleys around the Mahamaya Mandir lane are way too cramped and always packed with parked scooties. If you own a car, do not even think of bringing it inside. Getting out is a daily fight.
The local markets near Main Bazar Road are right at the doorstep, which makes daily shopping very handy. The streets stay busy and feel active during the day, but the complete lack of open parks is a worry.
The e-rickshaws lined up near Desh Bandhu Gupta Road completely block the exit turn. The evening traffic build-up there is a major headache, taking 20 minutes just to clear a tiny intersection.
All daily needs like chemists, milk booths, and budget eating joints are right here. The community is tight-knit and people help out, so once you adjust to the crowded streets, it is a decent, liveable place to stay.
The paths here are broken and the narrow lanes are filled with open drains. Walking is very difficult, especially with young boys riding their bikes like maniacs through the small spaces near Chuna Mandi.
Tourist footfall is massive because the hotel hubs are incredibly dense. Daily sales are great, but the municipal trash collection is pathetic. People dump garbage right next to the street corners, creating a disgusting mess.
Visited a friend in the Singhara Chowk patch recently. Finding your way is so confusing and the overhead electricity wires hang so low it looks scary. Street lights do not work at all in the inner lanes after dark.
Rental demand from migrants is always high because of the proximity to the station and commercial blocks. However, the total lack of proper sewage planning and heavy waterlogging during ordinary rains keeps property prices stagnant.
Staying in a shared room here is highly budget-friendly. There are plenty of cheap dhabas right around the corner, and RK Ashram Marg metro station is easily reachable via a short rickshaw ride. It is noisy but totally manageable.

New Delhi Railway Station is less than a 10-minute walk from Kaseru Walan, which makes traveling super easy. Rent here is very cheap for Central Delhi, but the groundwater we get is totally yellow and salty.
