Derawali is affordable and okay if you don’t mind a bit of travel. I take the train daily to Andheri. The area is not posh, but daily needs are all nearby. Grocery shops, medical stores, and chai stalls are everywhere. Roads are a bit narrow though.

Our flat in Derawali has been on rent for 4 years now. Never faced vacancy issues. Tenants mostly come from nearby industrial areas. Society is old but decent.

I moved here because the rent is within my budget. Society is quiet and mostly has families. No fancy restaurants or gyms, but basic stuff is nearby. Commute to Borivali takes time during rush hours.

I bought a 1BHK in Derawali 5 years ago. Price hasn't jumped much, but rental income has been consistent. The area has steady demand from small families and working professionals. Not very developed, but the basics are there.

Derawali is not perfect, but you get used to it. It is always active, and everything is available nearby, market, school, clinic. Roads and drainage still need work.
