It is a pretty small area within kolathur..not many high rise apartments here. just basic and livable..

It is a comfortable place to retire but younger folks find it a bit boring as theres not much hangout places like the trrendy cafes etc..

one major risk is the varying quality of road infrastructure in different pockets of the nagar. properties on the wider roads get a significant premium over the interior ones...

water quality is decent but we use a purifier just to be safe. the drainage can be a bit sluggish after a heavy rainfall

much cheaper than ambattur or anna nagar. the streets are mostly quiet and residential which is great for working from home..

Good local market and decent connectivity. Meting daily needs are easy. Rents are reasonable for the area. Roads can get a bit congested during peak hours near the main junctions though, plan accordingly.

Bought a flat in Balakumaran Nagar for the affordability and the area has only gotten more lively since then. Fish market crowd can be a lot on weekends, but otherwise the neighbourhood stays manageable and familiar.

Commute to the IT parks nearby takes a bit of planning since the metro is a fair distance off. Manageable if you have your own vehicle, otherwise relying on buses adds extra time most days.

This place has grown denser over the years, that's for sure. Parking near the main roads gets tricky during busy hours. Still, the local market access and overall vibe keep it a comfortable place to stay.

Schools nearby are decent and the area feels safe enough for daily routines. It's a busy locality though, so quieter spots for kids to play are limited within walking distance.

Demand in Balakumaran Nagar stays fairly consistent thanks to the dense population and steady rental interest from working professionals. Prices have moved up gradually but it's still a reasonable entry point compared to nearby central pockets.

Easy enough to find your way around once you get past the main junction crowds. Worth a visit if you're into the local fish market scene, gets quite lively.

College access is decent from here and food options nearby are plenty and affordable. Getting to places further out without a bike can be a bit of a hassle though, buses take their time.

Foot traffic stays strong given how busy this stretch is, especially near the market area. Deliveries can be tricky during peak hours with how congested some of the inner roads get though.

Bit too noisy and crowded for comfortable walks most of the day, especially near the market side. Mornings are calmer at least. Healthcare options nearby give some peace of mind though.
