Good for families who prefer quiet life. Schools are nearby. Roads need improvement, especially during monsoon when waterlogging becomes a real issue.

This city has grown quite a lot and very qucikly. I bought a 2BHK last year and the value has appreciated. Wish we had better nightlife or decent cafes, though.

It’s quiet and green, which I love. Great if you want a break from city chaos. But don’t expect quick access to malls or hospitals.

Living here for 3 years now. It’s affordable and calm. Only problem? Public transport during peak hours can be chaotic and time-consuming.

If you’re planning to buy a home, this area is promising. But day-to-day conveniences still aren’t as smooth as central Chennai.

Chennai is a great place to be in. Diverse culture and great things to do.

Kelambakkam is still an isolated area. But it is developing. I have been here for 2 years in rented house. Its far from the city centre but the ECR and other road links make it easy to commute without much congestion. It is also close to my office in sipcot IT park

The area feels very dull. there's no restaurants or even recreational spaces to unwind. A very few hospitals and markets nearby and that's it.

Buying properties here is affordable. I own three houses here. two are on rent and i get good income

The ROI in Kelambakkam is good and despite the lack of connectivity much, it generates good yield. This is mainly because of the beaches proximity. kovalam beach, and ECR beach are closest.

Because it is surrounded by the great salt lake and other beaches, environment is humid and heavy rainfall can lead to intense waterlogging. Not a safe area for permanent living

Kelambakkam is pretty sorted if you work in Siruseri IT park. I just take my bike out and reach office in 15 minutes max. Lots of small food joints and tea shops around the main road, so dinner is easy.

Mornings are quite calm near the residential streets but walking on the main road is very risky. Footpaths are broken or missing in most places, and the traffic near the market area gets very chaotic by evening.

The dust here is too much because of heavy vehicles moving all day. Inside streets are very narrow so delivery trucks struggle to enter, and customers face parking issues near the shops daily. Quite fed up.

Lots of cheap PG options here and plenty of photo copy shops and local messes near the college area. Rents are like 6k for sharing rooms, which is decent. NGL the area is quite chill for students.

Water supply is regular in our area and we get it every morning for 2 hours. Streets are clean and the local panchayat trucks collect garbage from houses daily. Streets feel very safe even for night walks.

Getting an auto from Kelambakkam junction is a daily headache, they ask 150 rupees even for short distances. If you don't have a bike here it is very tough to manage, buses are always full.

It is a decent place to visit for shopping, you get all vegetables and groceries cheap near the bus terminus. But the evening traffic jam at the main signal takes at least 20 minutes to cross, too crowded.

Houses are fetching decent rent here now, easily 18k for a standard 2BHK flat. All major hospitals like Chettinad are right here, so people prefer staying in this area. Good demand.

Water timing is a big problem now, the whole area depends only on private water tankers. Ground water has gone down completely and buying water every week is costing a lot of money... absolute pain.

Good schools are very close by, so travel time is less. But roads inside the residential layouts have big potholes that fill up during rains, making it tough to walk. Safety wise it is okayish.
