Kanjurmarg East is a thriving suburb in the eastern part of Mumbai, Maharashtra. It is surrounded by IIT Bombay, L&T, Hiranandani Gardens and KV Powai. In the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, Kanjurmarg falls under the S ward. Kanjurmarg East Pin Code is 400077. In 1968, the Kanjurmarg Station was built and named after the local Kanjur village. This railway station is today the main point of connectivity for all its nearby locations. Just beat the traffic on lbs marg and link road, then it's a great area. My benefit is that my office is 5 mins walkable so i don't have to deal with traffic that much. But commuting far is a problem if you don't use buses. Metro is still a dream here.
I would suggest finding a house around C.G.S Colony. It is much quieter and pleasant. the connectivity is good via kanjurmarg train station and also the NH and lbs marg.
What I love about Kanjurmarg is you get flats at lesser price than dadar and other prime areas but still get the best amenities nearby. It is also close to many corporate offices and tech parks so if you re in IT then it's bonus
The infrastructure is lacking in many aspects. I moved here because of lower rent last year. while I love the convenience of social amenities, I am annoyed at the road conditions and civic issues like littering, poor street lights, water issues, and narrow footpaths. on top of that, if you live close to the main road, the noise is inevitable
For daily office-goers, the station being nearby is a huge plus. There is even a park nearby for walks. The area is fine overall, but the lanes get too crowded in the evenings.
I moved to Kanjurmarg East for work convenience. The station is very close, and buses are easy to find. Most daily needs are nearby. But the internal roads are broken in some parts.
Kanjurmarg East is not too flashy, but very liveable. Shops, clinics, banks - all close by. It's also well connected to the Eastern Express Highway. But greenery is reducing slowly.
We moved here from Ghatkopar. Flats are newer and more spacious. Grocery deliveries, pharmacies, and local vegetable markets are all nearby. One issue is the occasional drainage smell after rains.
Had a client meeting near Kanjurmarg Station Road. The buildings here are a mix of old and new. Roads are better maintained compared to other suburbs. You will find banks, clinics, and grocery shops all nearby, very convenient.

Kanjurmarg has strong investment potential. There are good upcoming projects and existing apartments. Many professionals and families want to move here. The only big problem that can impact the appreciation is the large dumping grounds nearby. The smell is horrible and it does affect some blocks around it.
