The area is a business hub, and IT parks are all around the corner. I work in Magnus Tower, Malad West, and it's just 2.2 km from here. I have my own vehicle so commuting is no issue except the traffic I ocassionally face. You can also use the bus or metro which always runs conveniently.
My friends and I often go to Versova Beahc for a fun outing, and often end up eating near Bangur Nagar. Mostly it's at Lord's Cafe or some fancy brewary like Sthamba Global Brewary. The area has lots of fun places to go with friends.
