Adyar Reviews and Ratings (9 Reviews)
We live here with our two kids. There are reputed schools, clinics, and even a big hospital nearby. Parks are clean and the area is peaceful. Streets are well-lit at night, feels very safe.
Visited Adyar with a friend to check out some boutiques and jewellery shops. Lots of unique items and decent prices. Streets were clean and not very noisy. Felt safe even in the evening. Great area for slow, relaxed shopping
Adyar has been home for over 20 years. It’s green, cultured, and has a nice mix of old and new. Besant Nagar Beach is close by, and the Theosophical Society gives it a special charm. But overbuilding is a worry. Losing trees slowly.
I chose Adyar for my parents and me. Nearby pharmacy and hospital came in handy recently. The local market has everything. But yes, flats are on the pricier side.
Shifted here last year. It’s clean, green, and calm. My son goes to tuition nearby and we visit the beach on Sundays. Everything feels close by. Just wish the rent was more affordable.
Visited Adyar while in Chennai. Very posh and green area. Near IIT, and well connected. Good for long-term investment. But not for small-budget buyers. Still, if budget allows, it’s a strong choice.
I moved to Adyar recently. Bought a small flat near Indira Nagar. Very convenient area. Supermarkets, medical shops, restaurants all nearby. But rent and property prices are very high compared to nearby areas. Still, good for families.
Adyar is one of Chennai’s most sought-after residential neighborhoods, offering a perfect blend of serenity, convenience, and urban sophistication. Best points to note in Adyar is Green and Peaceful, Top-notch Amenities, Close to beach, Best Schools, Excellent Connectivity with all major areas such as OMR, ECR, T Nagar etc.
I work in IT at Ramanuzam SEZ area, and Adyar is perfect for me. It's well-connected to major parts of Chennai and has good bus services. You’ll find plenty of cafes, gyms, and even a beach nearby. Rent is a little high but worth it.
