As of now, MHADA Housing Scheme has not been announced, however, there are reports that indicate it may happen soon. Since the second wave of COVID 19 has forced the nation to stay at home again amidst a semi-lockdown situation, the housing scheme MHADA Navi Mumbai, Thane, Vasai and other areas is expected to be pushed until May 2021.

The MHADA Lottery 2021 will be applicable for people who wish to own a home under the below mentioned four categories:
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS)
  • Lower Income Group (LIG)
  • Middle Income Group (MIG)
  • Higher Income Group (HIG)
This year, an estimate of 7500 housing units will be offered in the following areas:

Properties to be provided by Konkan MHADA in the MMR Konkan MHADA – KHADB, a regional unit of the MHADA, has announced a lottery of 8205 affordable houses in the MMR (Mumbai Metropolitan Region). 2000 houses will be from the Konkan Board out of these 8205 houses from the KHADB. The remaining will be under the PMAY scheme and from the other projects of the board:

  Important Points:
  • The 2 BHK houses in Mira Road for the MIG would be priced approximately Rs. 38 to 40 lakhs.
  • Out of 1300 units in Virar, 300 units are for the MIG and 1000 units are for the LIG segment.
  • Properties in Thane’s Vartak Nagar will be available for the LIG and would be priced at Rs. 38 to 40 lakhs approximately.
  • Properties in Kasarvadavali and Vadavalli will be available for the LIG segment and will cost approximately Rs. 16 lakhs.

  • Passport photos
  • Driving licence
  • Domicile certificate

  MHADA Lottery 2021 Mumbai Application Procedure
  1.     Go to the lottery.mhada.gov.in (official website)
  2.     Choose the language in which you want to fill the online form
  3.     Go to the “Register” link and create your account
  4.     Then, you will get OTP on your phone. Enter it to register on the website
  5.     After that, you will get the MHADA Lottery Application Form on the screen
  6.     Fill in the form
  7.     Now, upload all the required documents, such as Passport size photo, Pan card, Aadhar card, etc.
  8.     Click on the “Submit” to complete the online MHADA Lottery 2021 application
  Eligibility Criteria for MHADA Lottery 2021
  • You must be at least 18-year old
  • You must have a Domicile Certificate, which proves that you have lived in Maharashtra for 15 continuous years
  • You must have a PAN card
  • Income proof for the financial year (avg. monthly income, minus reimbursable allowances like laundry allowance, medical, transport, and more). MHADA has created the following slabs based on monthly income
  •  HIG (High Income Group) – Rs. 75001 and above.
  • LIG (Lower Income Group) – Rs. 25001 - Rs. 50000
  • MIG (Middle Income Group) – Rs. 50001 - Rs. 75000
  • EWS (Economically Weaker Section) – up to Rs. 25000
