What do Owners Look for in Tenants?

Hello there, I can tell you what do owners look for in tenants. I have a property in Bangalore which is on rent. I was quite careful while selecting the right tenant for the property. 

Amongst many, a few of the things we, as owners of the house, look for include a clean criminal record, a good credit history, a stable income and more.

What do Landlords Look for in Tenants?

1. A clean criminal record: The safety of the house, along with the people staying nearby is important. So, I make it a point to run a background verification to check whether the applicant has any criminal records or not.

2. Previous Eviction Record: The second thing I check is the previous stay of the applicant. I usually call up the landlords and ask them whether the person paid their rent on time and whether they were responsible for taking care of the house.

3. A stable income: The tenant must have a stable income with a job. This assures me that the person will pay the rent on time.

4. Behaviour: This is amongst the most important things for me as a landlord. A good and well-behaved tenant would ensure that my house is kept well and that I do not receive any complaints.
