Once my son spilled Rasna on the floor and made it all sticky. It was such a mess that I needed to find a solution for how to remove sticky from floor tiles immediately. Cleaning the floor became mandatory but along with water, I added liquid detergent and it was very effective. It seems you also face similar situations so let me help you out and give you some suggestions.

How to Clean Sticky Floors?

Sweeping and mopping floors is compulsory to clean sticky floors but along with it, you must add some cleaning solutions or powder. Since liquid detergent is easily available in every household, I used it. Here is how to clean sticky tile floors with just water and detergent.

  • Start with sweeping or vacuuming the floor to remove any loose dirt or debris. This prevents the sticky substance from spreading further during the cleaning process.

  • Then mix a solution of warm water and liquid detergent or mild dish soap in a bucket. You can use other cleaning solutions as well but make sure they do not damage your floor.

  • Next, dip a mop or a soft cloth into the soapy water solution and wring it out until it's damp but not dripping.

  • Gently scrub the sticky areas on the floor tiles with a damp cloth or mop. Apply extra pressure for stubborn spots, if any, but avoid scrubbing too vigorously to prevent scratching the tile floor.

  • Rinse the floor thoroughly with clean water to remove any soap residue, then dry it completely with a clean towel or allow it to air dry. Repeat the process if necessary until the stickiness is completely removed.

So this is an easy process for how to clean a sticky floor tile. You can also use vinegar or ammonia for the cleaning purpose but make sure you use the right amount or it may damage your floor.
