The best way to clean a kitchen floor is to first sweep or vacuum loose dirt, then treat grease and spills with an appropriate cleanser. Mop with warm water and a neutral-pH floor cleaner suitable for the flooring. Use a moist microfibre mop, rinse it regularly, clean grout gently, and dry the surface.

The best way to clean kitchen floor is to remove loose dirt, then treat grease and stains with a neutral-pH solution (that is appropriate for the flooring). When I visited my elder brother's house last Monday, his wife asked me how to clean their kitchen floor without leaving a sticky residue. I looked into practical cleaning procedures and discovered an excellent technique. I have mentioned them below.

How Do You Clean Kitchen Floor Tiles and Remove Grease?

  1. Clean your kitchen floor.

Move out chairs, rugs, bins, pet bowls, and other items to easily reach corners and hidden dirt.

  2. Sweep or vacuum.

Before mopping, remove any crumbs, dust, hair, or loose food particles. This keeps the particles from becoming sticky when mixed with water.

  3. Address grease and spills.

You must wipe out fresh spills immediately. To remove dried oil or food, use an appropriate cleanser or diluted dish soap and gently scrub the area.

  4. Choose the right cleaner.

You must use a floor cleanser with a neutral pH that is appropriate for your flooring. Avoid using strong chemicals, excessive vinegar, and acidic cleaners on wood and natural stone.

  5. Mop the floor with warm water.

Do not soak the floor. Instead, you can use a moist microfibre mop. Clean in small sections and move toward the exit.

  6. Rinse the mop.

Wash the mop head regularly. Change the dirty water to keep grease and grime from spreading across the floor.

  7. Clean out grout lines.

To remove debris from tiled floors without damaging the grout, use a good grout cleaner and a gentle brush.

  8. Dry the surface.

Finally, you must use a clean microfibre cloth or dry mop to remove any excess wetness. This is especially crucial for protecting wood and laminate flooring from moisture damage.

In a YouTube short, I also found that the key mistakes to avoid include mopping without first sweeping, using too much cleaner, leaving excess water on the floor, using abrasive scrubbers, and utilising a cleaning solution that is not appropriate for the flooring type. I hope this helps.
