I absolutely hated cleaning toilets when I used to live with my parents. But now that I live alone, I have learned to make peace with it. So, I can definitely tell you how often to clean toilet. I usually clean it every once or twice a week. But if it is the flu season, I may sometimes clean 3 times a week.
How Often Should a Toilet Be Cleaned?
Although cleaning toilets isn't the most enjoyable task for me, it's a necessary evil that needs to be done occasionally to make the space appear clean and welcoming.
In addition to quickly stinking and seeming unclean, a dirty toilet may quickly detract from the attractiveness of a stylish bathroom and quickly turn it from welcoming to uninviting.
So, you can try to clean your toilet as often as you can, but if someone is sick in your house every two to three days, you should completely disinfect it.
Once a week, or every two weeks, depending on how often the toilet is used, should be sufficient after flu season is over.
How Often Should Toilet Be Cleaned?
As I already mentioned, you can clean your toilet once or twice a week. But apart from understanding how often to clean the toilet it's also critical to account for the time needed to thoroughly sterilise your cleaning supplies.
If a toilet scrub brush is left in a wet holder, it may develop mould on its own.
After you have completed cleaning the surfaces and toilet bowl, you need to periodically clean the brush.
To achieve this, place it between your toilet seat and the bowl itself, give it a full coat of disinfectant spray, and let it air dry (letting the scrubbing head dangle above the water in the bowl).
To ensure that gloves, sponges, or any other plastic cleaning products are germ-free, soak them in a solution of three teaspoons of bleach mixed with one quart of water for five minutes. After, let it air dry.
