Hi there, I can help you with how to rent a furnished apartment in India. I have been living in one for a couple of years now and I got this flat through NoBroker. So, let me take you through the online steps that I followed.

How to Rent a Furnished House?

Here is the process through which you can find fully furnished apartments
  1. Go to the Rent section on the NoBroker website.
  2. Choose the city where you want to rent the apartment, select the localities in the city, the accommodation type, and the other details based on your preference.
  3. Click on the Search button. You will be able to see many rental properties available according to your search.
  4. On the left side of the screen, you will find the Filters section. Scroll down to the Furnishing heading.
  5. There, you can tick a mark for fully furnished accommodation.
  6. Once you do so, only the fully furnished accommodations will be available. You can view them and then contact the owner to finalise renting the place.
I am suggesting this way, as I got contacts of verified landlords and had to pay no brokerage while finalising renting the place.  This is all from my side. To rent a furnished house, follow these steps:
  1. Research: Begin by researching available furnished rental properties in your desired location. Utilize online platforms, rental agencies, or classified ads to find suitable options.
  2. Budget: Determine your budget for rent and utilities. Keep in mind that furnished properties may come at a higher cost due to the included amenities.
  3. Viewings: Schedule viewings for potential properties to assess their condition, amenities, and suitability for your needs.
  4. Documentation: Once you find a suitable property, review the lease agreement thoroughly. Ensure that all terms, including rent, duration, deposit, and any additional fees, are clearly stated.
  5. Inspect: Before signing the lease, inspect the furnished items in the house to ensure they are in good condition. Take note of any damages and discuss with the landlord or property manager for resolution.
  6. Signing: Sign the lease agreement once you're satisfied with the terms and conditions. Make sure you understand your responsibilities as a tenant.
  7. Move-in: Coordinate with the landlord or property manager to schedule your move-in date. Take inventory of the furnished items upon arrival to avoid disputes during the move-out process.
  8. Payment: Pay the required deposit and first month's rent as per the terms of the lease agreement.
  9. Utilities: Set up utilities such as electricity, water, and internet services in your name if they are not included in the rent.
  10. Maintain: Throughout your tenancy, maintain the property and its furnishings in good condition. Report any damages or maintenance issues promptly to the landlord or property manager.
By following these steps, you can successfully rent a furnished house that meets your needs and preferences.
